Thanksgiving Blessing Tag

It is a 3-day long weekend here in Taiwan and I am so blessed to have been able to make artworks three days in a row. After making a super CAS card yesterday, I challenged myself to make a quite sophisticated-looking one and this tag is what I made today. Boy, I am in a heaven.

I am entering this tag to the following challenges:

1. Stamploration {Stencil Sunday #14} + October Mixed Media Challenge

2. Crafter Stampers, Take it Make it October Challenge, 'Take A Technique - Ink Stitch Paint Collage Print Paper
In my tag, I have inks, faux stitches and faux newspaper.
3. Just Us Girls Trend Week 314 – Use Stencils
4. The Sisterhood of Crafters, Lets All Go To 'The Pumpkin Patch
5. The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #17 - Word Search

My word inspirations are pumkin and black.

Card Details

1. All stamps are by Hero Arts and all stencils are by Tim/Stampers Anonymous.
2. Pumpkins were colored by Copic Markers.
3. I added crackle embossing paste first. After dry, I applied two layers of stenciling then covered the whole tag with some distress inks.  I overstamped the newspaper background, making the whole background full of textures as shown below.

4. I added faux stitiches on the side as the final finishing touch.

I feel extremely blessed after making this tag. Hope you like this tag. Thanks for stopping by.

Some Days are Better

Once in a while I’d like to challenge myself to do a One Layer Card (OLC) and this is what I made today. This Clean & Simple (CAS) card is not as easy as imagined, as I found it quite challenging to align up the stripes.

I am entering this card to the following challenges:

1. Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #226: Creating With Stripes
2. One-Layer Simplicity Challenge, OLS 21 - Whatever the weather

3. AAA Cards Game #49: Word Play
4. Addicted to Stamps Challenge #165 - Photo Inspiration
5. Simon Says Stamp World Cardmaking Day Challenge

Card Details

1. All stamps are by Papertrey Ink.
2. I bent the stripe stamp to mimic the rainbow shape. It is creative, isn't it?  Haha!

Hope you like this simple sweet. Thanks for stopping by.

This is a card for a senior. She likes autumn colors. I I used four colors of the orange family, namely dried marigold, spiced marmalade, rusty hinge and ripe persimmon, for the card. I am entering this card to the following challenges:

3. Simon Says Monday Challenge, Autumn Is In The Air

4. Seize the Birthday, Anything Goes Birthday

Card Details

1. Stamps are by Hero Arts. Stencil is by Simon Says stamp and die cut is by Tim Holtz/Sizzix. Gold embossing paste is by Wendy Vecchi/Ranger.
2. I die cut the Falling Hearts (by Simon Says) to create my own stencil.

I just came back from a long trip and can’t wait to catch up with more inklings and stampings. Oh, I must say this card is warm and gorgeous, with the family of orange colors and gold tiny hearts. Hope this card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by.
